The first digital education center for children “IT-cube” of the Ministry of Education of Russia has opened in Ulyanovsk, TASS reports.

The center was created as part of the federal project “Digital Educational Environment” of the national project “Education”. It was opened on the basis of the Ulyanovsk State Technical University and became the first in the region. By the end of 2022, in the Ulyanovsk region, in accordance with the project, it is planned to open two more “IT cubes” in the city of Dimitrovgrad and in the Zavolzhsky district of the city of Ulyanovsk.

“IT-cube” is a center for the education of children according to programs aimed at accelerating the development of relevant and demanded knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of information technology. The project forms a modern educational ecosystem that brings together companies – leaders of the IT market, experienced mentors and novice developers from 7 to 18 years old.

In the Cheboksary technical school of transport and construction technologies, specialized workshops in the direction of “Construction” have opened, the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Chuvash Republic reports. 

In December last year, the educational institution won the competitive selection for the provision in 2020 of grants from the federal budget in the form of subsidies within the framework of the federal project “Young Professionals” of the national project “Education”. The grant funds in the amount of 28.9 million rubles were used to update the technical and technical base of the technical school.

The new workshops will allow students of specialties and professions in the construction direction to receive a higher level of professional training. 

With the help of high-tech equipment, future specialists can master the competencies “Painting and decorative work”, “Furniture production”, “Joiner’s business”, “Geodesy”, “Electrical installation”.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 6,500 children have visited the Quantorium children’s technology parks in the Primorsky Territory, the press service of the Primorsky Territory Government reports. 

Today there are two Quantoriums operating in Primorye. The first of them – stationary, located in Vladivostok on the basis of the city Palace of Children’s Creativity, includes seven laboratories. The second “Quantorium” is mobile, it operates on a permanent basis in ten municipalities: Spassk-Dalny, Nakhodka, Dalnegorsk, Lesozavodsk, Ussuriysk, Kavalerovsky, Pozharsky, Khasansky districts, as well as Lazovsky and Terneisky districts.

“The work is being carried out within the framework of the regional project“ Success of every child ”of the national project“ Education ”, one of the key tasks of which is to provide children with opportunities to receive additional education,” stressed Natalya Bondarenko, Minister of Education of the Primorsky Territory.

Children’s Technoparks “Quantorium” are playgrounds where children can master promising engineering areas, including modern laser technologies, neurotechnologies, unmanned aircraft, programming, 3D modeling and others.

Technoparks are designed to train young personnel in a number of relevant areas – from robotics and the design of small Earth satellites to the study of laser technologies and the modeling of unmanned objects.

Next year, at the Ukhta State Technical University, a Center for Additional Education for Children will open.

“Before the end of the year, two children’s technology parks“ Quantorium ”will appear in Ukhta at once – stationary and mobile, such as is now in Syktyvkar. On the basis of Ukhta State Technical University next year, a Center for Continuing Education of Children will be created, ”Uyba said.

He noted that this year in Syktyvkar, Vuktyl, Pechora, Koygorodok, Kortkeros district, an additional 601 places have been created in the field of additional education.

Within the framework of the federal project “Digital educational environment” of the national project “Education”, schools and colleges of the Amur Region received more than 2.5 thousand laptops, printers, scanners, interactive complexes, reports the “Amur News Service”.

2276 units of equipment were delivered to 55 schools, 366 to nine colleges.

Last year, only ten schools and one college were provided with technical innovations, this year the number of educational organizations has grown significantly, the regional government said.

“Digital equipment is very important for the organization of the educational process, regardless of the direction of training. We received 41 units of high quality equipment, which are already fully used in the classroom. In addition, we plan to use part of the equipment within the framework of the regional championship “Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)”, – said Igor Ankudinov, director of the Blagoveshchensk Polytechnic College.

In addition, students and teachers of the Amur schools get access to high-speed Internet. The minimum speed for urban institutions is 100 megabits per second, for rural institutions – 50.

In the Perm Territory, until 2024, about 12 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the national project “Education”, TASS reports with reference to the press secretary of the regional ministry of education and science Ksenia Khromko.

She noted that within the framework of the national project in the region, nine regional projects were developed and approved.

“The Federal Ministry has proposed projects and we have chosen in which we will participate. In total, more than 11 billion rubles from the regional budget and about 700 million rubles from the federal budget are provided for the implementation of national projects, ”Khromko said.

She clarified that the activities of regional projects are primarily aimed at implementing a number of areas for the development of the education system: updating the content, creating the necessary modern infrastructure, training personnel to work in the system, their retraining and advanced training, as well as creating the most effective mechanisms for managing the industry.
